In 2010 Mt. Bethel Boy Scout Troop 1011 completed its 39th year of Scouting. The Troop has over 100 active Scouts and has produced over 225 Eagle Scouts. For thirty three consecutive years, Troop 1011 has received both the National Quality Unit Award and the National Camping Award and also been on the District Honor Roll.

In 2010, our Scouts and adult leaders performed over 9,50 hours of community service including Eagle projects throughout the community, work during the Great Day of Service, and serving as counselors at Camp Hope. Our Scouting for Food drive collected over 8,060 items and we were involved in numerous Flag ceremonies. Troop 1011 had 20 campouts, 8 backpacking hikes, 2 summer camps, 15 merit badge clinics, 4 Courts of Honor, and 13 Eagle Scout Awards.

Our Scouts earned 601 merit badges in 79 different categories and there were 135 rank advancements and twelve God & Country awards. 9 Scouts reached the 100 camping nights milestone, 6 were inducted into the Order of the Arrow and 3 Eagle Scouts attended the Georgia Boy's State program. 15 Scouts attended Philmont.

We believe that Scouting gives young men an opportunity to build skills and confidence while establishing and reinforcing strong character and values.

Thank you, Mt. Bethel, for supporting our Scouting program!
